About the Author
James J.K.L. Parker is a Marine Veteran, a new father, and a college student pursuing a degree in criminal justice. His love for storytelling began in his youth, inspired by the epic romances and terrible tragedies played out on the theater stage. A two-time winner of the Barnes & Noble poetry contest by age 15, Parker joined the Marines at 19 and traveled the globe, collecting his own stories from far-away places like Kuwait, Jerusalem, Dubai, and the jungles of Borneo. After retiring honorably in 2019, he found his way to South Dakota, where he fell in love, welcomed a son, and began writing stories to share with the world.
